Eco Counselling Centre
How do we work?
The eco-counselling centre Veronica has been providing free, balanced and independent counselling since 1997 in Brno and since 2006 in Hostětín as well. The eco-counselling centre is one of the founder members of the Eco-counselling Network STEP, meets the quality standards of eco-counselling centres at the national level and offers services according to the concept of system eco-counselling (we provide and arrange information, handle analyses, offer management for a definite time period and process eco-counselling).
The information background of the eco-counselling centre profits partly from the eco-counselling activity and partly from the regular exchange of information with the employees of authorities and institutions, from experience, pieces of knowledge and expert outputs of projects coordinated by the eco-counselling centre. Within the projects we cooperate with experts from all sorts of fields - within the Ecological Institute Veronica, with experts from the academic as well as private sector. Our important partners are local governments and schools of all levels. The eco-counselling is guaranteed by professional consultants and university students.

What do we offer?
The eco-counselling centre is equipped with a barrier-free entry. It disposes of an extensive library, an archive of information materials and a study room with wifi connection. In the eco-counselling centre we sell publications and magazines focused on the environment, Fair Trade and FSC products, products of Cider House Hostětín, bird tables and nest boxes, silhouettes of birds of prey, linen bags, t-shirts, domestic composters, etc. We can lend you an electricity consumption meter, a marten repeller, we collect tiny aluminium waste. We take care of handicapped animals.
